This was my first Stonehaven half marathon. I did'nt realise how hilly the route is, but it was the heat that overcame me in the end and I finished with a PW.
That is nobody's fault but mine. The organisation was excellent, and everyone was very friendly. I was slightly disappointed, though, when I realised that there was no medal to add to my collection.
When I travel around the country to these events, it is nice to pick up a souvenir at the end. Never mind. The memory of my day in the sun is still fresh.
I am still picking the peeling skin off my baldy napper!

First visit to Stonehaven and only my fourth half marathon. It was the toughest HM I've entered and my slowest time 2hrs. More of a local/friendly atmosphere than other races I've ran in. I'll definitely be back next year to try and get under 2hrs!

The organisation was first class, the marshals and local support were brilliant all the way round (thanks to the kids for the high 5's) and the piper was awesome. Thanks to everyone involved in making this event so successful and memorable, I would of preferred a faster time but

The Stonehaven Half Marathon has to be the most organised, friendly and challenging Half Marathon I've done. As a former 'Stoney Loon' I'll definitely be back next year!

Many thanks for setting up a great day. Shame no haar!
Its the first time I've run this half marathon & amazingly did a PB. I thought the organisation was excellent - lots of water and great support around the route.

Thanks to all involved for making the Stoney Half such an enjoyable experience despite the heat! It was my first half-m and I thoroughly appreciated the efficiency, friendliness and encouragement of all involved - the marshalls, police, first-aiders, water station attendees, and any other volunteers I've forgotten to mention, as well as the Stonehaven locals who cheered us on the way past. Special thanks to the two ladies who gave me directions to Mineralwell Park early in the morning, who recognised me later on during the race. You've all left me with a very favourable impression of Stonehaven - I will be back!

One of the best organised and friendliest races on the calendar. It must also be one of the toughest HMs in Scotland made all the more challenging yesterday by the hot and sunny conditions. The vest provided an unusual border for the sunburn. Finally, my son took part in the 3k and thoroughly enjoyed that too which was also similarly well organised. Well done to all involved.

I just wanted to echo the comments of Gordon above, by thanking all the organisers, marshalls, volunteers and the public/supporters for a wonderful (yet roasting day!). The only thing that was missing was the haar to keep the runners cool !!!
